I have, it took a while to find one that worked. And by that I mean one they wanted to use and not just tear up in to bits. found the brand and stuck to the brand... fortunatly it was the no name ones that they liked the best.

In my experience, puppy pads don't really work that well. I find it's better to take your dog outside...its a faster potty training method to just take him out. When he starts sniffing around it is a good sign he has to go. Just take him out and don't let him back in until he does his business.

I live in a high rise apartment building so rushing them outside did not always work very well.

You don't have to rush really, but I think DBF has a good point. Training them on pads and then to go outside is like doing double the work in the end. My buddy learned pretty quickly and I live in a condo as well.
