Only really close to home. Gizmo is comfortable around our area but whenever we even get a couple blocks away he can be spooked really easily. I usually snap on the leash in those types of situations, and also whenever I see another dog in the vicinity. Gizmo doesn't really play well with others!

No, I never leave my Yorkie off leash. She is just 1 year old and I'm afraid she might run away and be lost or "dognap".

I let my male 8 yr old off the leash for the first five minutes of our routine walk. After that it is too dangerous for him.

My teacup can be free with a leash on for a minute or two. With the leash I can catch her!

I never have my girls off of the leash...I'm always afraid something could happen and I would never forgive myself.

Yipes, the only time Scoot is off leash is when he's in our fenced back yard....otherwise he'd be in the next county in 5 seconds.
