Hello everyone! I have a yorkie who is about to turn 4 named Bella. I am having horrible potty training issues.
When I first got her as a puppy she was pad trained. She was good about going on her pad and only had a couple accidents in the house. Eventually she we weaned her off the pad, but she would still go in the spot no matter how many pet cleaners I used. However, she was with my mom in law who was home to let her out frequently so she got better. Now we have purchased a new house so she isn't let out every four hours anymore. She seems to have phases where she will be really good for several weeks and then a week will come where she is horrible and goes several times in the house. I tried crating her a couple years ago but she had major anxiety and would drool all over herself and pee and poo in the crate. I am honestly at a loss of what to do! I know I can try retraining her from the beginning but I am gone from 7 am until 6pm which doesn't allow for the hourly retraining process needed for a crate. Any advice for what to do when you work a full time job?? My husband is about to kill me if she keeps going on our floors! Any help is appreciated! |

Hello I have had Yorkies for 10 years and I hope this will help.
I have 4 Yorkies and all of them are kenneled and do not potty in There kennel. My first question is how big is the kennel you have her in? Is there any bedding in the kennel? Let's start there and then we can figure more out. I will try to help. |
