Hi
hope this finds you well. I'm in need of some help/ advice on my 13year old Yorkshire terrier. To give you some history he is an extremely lively dog and by no stretch of the imagination does he look or act his age very agile and lively. He has recently received an operation which was a castration and he has a perlina hernia which the pocket was repaired. A week after the op the pocket where the hernia re opened and we were informed this was due to the weak tissue. However his stool keeps going into the pocket, resulting in him becoming very poorly we have been at the vets 3 times now to have the stool removed from the pocket leaving him very weak and has been given lactlose. We are now being faced with one of two options he is on lactlose for the rest of his life or surgery. But they aren't sure if he will make it through the op or it will work second time round? Any advice you can give is really appreciated Cheers Cshore |

will the second operation guarantee it will not open again? like is it a different procedure or the same, cause what will stop it from opening again? i would get a second a third opening and research on the net about it, and make sure you talk to a holistic vet about what they would do. then make your mind up.
