life expectancy

I know it might be stupid...but one of the things that kind of have stopped me from getting a yorkie(or dog in general) so far is that I feel like they don't live enough. I wish they lived as long as tortoises lol.
so what is the average life expectancy of yorkies!?

10 to 14 years i think it depends really on a whole host of things.

Yorkies have one of the best life expectancy of most dogs at 16 years of age. Other dogs barely live up to 11 years of age at most

depends on the care you give them. my last yorkie lived 18 years. i fed him a home made diet , followed dr, pitcairns book and i have a holistic vet.now if you feed purina, ceasrs or anything from walmart or a super market, your dog is going to be at the vets alot and not too healthy
