Default Why do Cats think they are so smart?

Aside from our Yorkie, we have a black cat. Yep, the kind that is only useful on Halloween night.

We had painters in the house this week and while investigating, the cat stepped on a fresh paint can lid. Luckily, we caught him immediately and got him cleaned up, but you'd think that the smell of the paint would keep him away.

Well, it didn't. Not so smart, huh?

I bred cats for years and all I can say is you are lucky it was just a paw and you didn't have a half white cat and black cat hair in the wall. Cats are very smart that doesn't mean they get concept of wet paint. Lik Joey's mom said Curiosity killed the cat and satifaction brough him back!
